YOLO Colorhouse Paint

YOLO Colorhouse Paint

YOLO Colorhouse makes both interior and exterior zero-VOC (volatile organic compounds) paint. It is a high-solids, premium latex based paint made without any formaldehyde, crystalline silica, ammonia, or ethylene glycol, which are hazardous ingredients in many commercial paints.

YOLO Colorhouse is the first paint company to achieve Green Seal Certification under the new, stricter 2008 standards, proving that the new criteria for green paint can be met while preserving quality and durability.

We think you will find YOLO Colorhouse to be superior in terms of coverage, durability, and color palette! YOLO’s colors were developed by the company’s owners after years of experience in a custom painting company. Most of the colors complement one another, so it is hard to make a color mistake. We carry YOLO’s poster sized samples to help ensure that you choose the right color the first time.

YOLO Colorhouse paint is available in flat, eggshell, and semigloss interior finishes, and velvet flat and satin exterior finishes. 0 VOC primer is also available.

St. Astier Natural Hydraulic Lime

St. Astier Lime Natural Hydraulic Lime Plaster & Paint are interior/exterior materials made from natural hydraulic lime that has already been formulated and hydrated–ready to add sand (depending on the formula) and water and apply to your walls.  Lime paint comes in powder form, ready to add water and apply to masonry walls.  St. Astier hydraulic lime plaster is a great substitute for cement stucco on truly green buildings–it is much more breathable than cement and also has a much lower carbon footprint.  Using these materials puts a coat of limestone on your building–a system that has been used in the Mediterranean for centuries.

There are various formulas of lime plaster for different applications–please contact us for guidance on choosing the appropriate formula for your project.  St. Astier can be used over adobe, straw bale, rammed earth, or conventional building methods.  Correct application techniques are imperative for success, so please call us or email to discuss your project.
