St. Astier Natural Hydraulic Lime

St. Astier Lime Natural Hydraulic Lime Plaster & Paint are interior/exterior materials made from natural hydraulic lime that has already been formulated and hydrated–ready to add sand (depending on the formula) and water and apply to your walls.  Lime paint comes in powder form, ready to add water and apply to masonry walls.  St. Astier hydraulic lime plaster is a great substitute for cement stucco on truly green buildings–it is much more breathable than cement and also has a much lower carbon footprint.  Using these materials puts a coat of limestone on your building–a system that has been used in the Mediterranean for centuries.

There are various formulas of lime plaster for different applications–please contact us for guidance on choosing the appropriate formula for your project.  St. Astier can be used over adobe, straw bale, rammed earth, or conventional building methods.  Correct application techniques are imperative for success, so please call us or email to discuss your project.
