Learn about Effective Microorganisms™ and their uses in your home and garden.  Learn to make bokashi and how to use it composting kitchen and yard waste efficiently through fermentation.

EM-1® is a concentrated liquid mix of 80 different beneficial bacteria and microorganisms that can be used in a variety of applications including detoxing paint, air purification, composting, or even as a substitute for yeast.

Bokashi is a combination of wheat bran (or other biodegradable), EM-1®, and molasses.  Use this to begin the composting process for all your kitchen waste,including cooked foods, meats, fats, and more.

In this workshop we will make bokashi and each participant will take some home.  You’ll also learn about other uses for EM in your home.  EM-1® will be available for purchase.
