Vanguart represents a new era in independent watchmaking—where daring design meets uncompromising craftsmanship. Founded in 2017 by master artisans, the brand honors the centuries-old traditions of haute horlogerie while confidently pushing them forward through a distinctly modern lens.
Each Vanguart timepiece embodies a compelling duality: the precision of rigorous engineering balanced with sculptural artistry. These watches go beyond timekeeping—they invite the wearer to experience time with a renewed sense of intention and discovery. By seamlessly blending mechanical innovation with expressive design, Vanguart continues to redefine what contemporary haute horlogerie can be.
Material Good is proud to announce our partnership as the exclusive North American retailer for Vanguart, the independent watch brand redefining the world of haute horlogerie.
Introducing the Material Good Limited Edition Vanguart Orb, a 25-piece exclusive release that celebrates the partnership between Vanguart and Material Good while pushing the boundaries of contemporary watchmaking. After over a year of development and collaboration, Vanguart engineered a specialized ceramic formula—both highly resistant and sculptable into fluid, architectural curves. The custom color ceramic draws inspiration from the original MG color palette and requires specialized finishing with bespoke tools, resulting in a visual softness that contrasts beautifully with the watch’s bold form.
Alongside the Material Good Limited Edition, Vanguart is also debuting the new Blue Ceramic Rose Gold Orb. This limited edition of 25 pieces combines cool blue ceramic with the warmth of rose gold for a pleasing juxtaposition of tones and materials. These custom formula ceramics will not scratch or fade, even when exposed to the elements for extended periods of time. Both colorways are available through Material Good’s boutiques.
ARABIC NUMERALS BLACK HOLE
The first Black Hole to feature Arabic numerals, this edition introduces a new visual language to the collection. Hand-painted numerals appear to float above a Grade 5 titanium dial, preserving the kinetic depth and architectural complexity that define the Black Hole’s identity. Its concentric three-tier automaton display, linear time indication, and levitating flying tourbillon come together to create a fluid, quietly mesmerizing experience—one that feels both innovative and culturally resonant. Limited to just eight pieces.
The Black Hole Tourbillon marked Vanguart’s striking debut—a first creation that immediately positioned the brand at the forefront of modern independent watchmaking. Defined by its levitating flying tourbillon and multi-layered, faceless architecture, the original Black Hole introduced a new visual and mechanical language: dimensional, enigmatic, and unmistakably forward-thinking.
The latest evolution, the Black Hole Rose Gold, carries that vision into a warmer, more sculptural expression. Its microblasted rose gold exoskeleton and polished contours interact with light in a way that feels almost alive—shifting between shadow and reflection while revealing the mechanical depth beneath. Inside, the same intricate composition of 775 components moves with Vanguart’s signature precision and restraint.
Limited to just eight pieces, this new interpretation honors the spirit of the inaugural model while expanding its universe—reinforcing that Vanguart’s approach to horology is as emotive as it is technical, and as architectural as it is inventive.
Unapologetically futuristic yet deeply rooted in tradition, the Orb further exemplifies Vanguart’s fearless reimagining of modern watchmaking—pushing the boundaries of craftsmanship through high complications, ergonomic innovation, and cutting-edge design.
The Orb distills Vanguart’s vision into a singular, spherical form—a seamless case that breaks from convention and invites a more immersive sense of presence. Within its monocoque architecture, a dynamic internal choreography unfolds: spinning discs, floating indices, and layered mechanics coming together in a quiet expression of motion and precision.
Time here is neither overt nor understated—it’s shaped. As light moves across the polished curvature, each glance reveals new depth and texture. With the Orb, Vanguart reaffirms its commitment to independent watchmaking: a balance of mechanical integrity, refined design, and a visual language that feels both forward-looking and timeless.
