AP's response — the double balance wheel — provides both justification and revelation simultaneously, the twin regulators visible through the openworked dial not as decoration but as the complication's entire raison d'être.
The double balance wheel, two oscillators connected by a differential gear averaging their respective rates, delivers improved timekeeping consistency across positional variation that a single balance wheel cannot match. That AP chose to display this mechanism openly — the calibre 3132's architecture fully exposed through sapphire crystal front and back — transforms a technical achievement into a visual one without compromising either.
In stainless steel, the openworked Royal Oak achieves a particular industrial poetry — Genta's geometric exterior framing a movement of deliberate mechanical transparency, the Grande Tapisserie dial replaced entirely by the calibre itself. Functional. Transparent. Entirely without precedent in the Royal Oak catalogue.

In order for your return or exchange to be eligible, the item must be completely unused and unworn in its original packaging. Material Good reserves the right to refuse any return if the items appear to be damaged or show signs of wear.

Timepiece Warranty

Material Good offers a one-year warranty on all pre-owned timepieces purchased through our boutiques and online, effective from the date of purchase. The Date of Purchase is defined as the date on the bill-of-sale, sales receipt, or any dated document designated by Material Good as proof-of-purchase. Our warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage resulting from improper handling, evidence of external impact, unauthorized tampering, third party intervention or water damage. Each watch sold through Material Good is considered for warranty repair at the sole discretion of Material Good. All repairs needed after the 1-year warranty period will be the responsibility of the client.

The Material Good warranty does not cover damage caused by water exposure or physical impact. Our certified watchmakers will inspect any timepiece to determine the cause of damage. Material Good reserves the right to void the warranty if the damage is found to result from water intrusion or impact.
