Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 16202ST.OO.1240ST.02

The 16202ST represents AP's most considered statement of continuity with Genta's founding vision — it insists on the original 39mm argument with complete and deliberate conviction at a moment when the broader market had largely abandoned that scale in favor of larger propositions. The founding design, unchanged in essential character across half a century.

The ultra-thin calibre 7121 — developed specifically for this generation, refining upon the legendary 2121 that powered the original 5402 — delivers automatic movement credentials within a case profile of remarkable slenderness, the movement architecture entirely in keeping with the Royal Oak's founding emphasis on thinness as a design principle rather than an engineering coincidence.

The white "Petite Tapisserie" dial occupies a quieter corner of the 16202ST family than the canonical blue — cooler, more restrained, foregrounding the texture's dimensional quality with a clarity that colored variants approach differently. Steel integrated bracelet, eight-screw bezel, 39mm. The founding Royal Oak in its most luminous and understated expression.
