Description
The 3700 is the original Nautilus. Gérald Genta designed it, and Patek introduced it at Basel in 1976 as a sports watch in a case with the porthole-inspired profile, horizontally embossed dial, and integrated bracelet that still define the line. Early examples were shown to a market that hadn’t yet accepted a sports watch at that price.
In yellow gold, the 3700/1J offered the same design in precious metal. The case and bracelet are unified in a single warm tone, and the gold dial extends that tone to the face. The horizontal embossing catches light across the surface and shifts between champagne and honey as the angle changes.
The 3700 is a 42mm watch with a slim profile for its size, powered by a Jaeger-LeCoultre-based automatic movement.
Yellow gold, gold dial, Genta’s original design.
Timepiece Warranty

Material Good offers a one-year warranty on all pre-owned timepieces purchased through our boutiques and online, effective from the date of purchase. The Date of Purchase is defined as the date on the bill-of-sale, sales receipt, or any dated document designated by Material Good as proof-of-purchase. Our warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage resulting from improper handling, evidence of external impact, unauthorized tampering, third party intervention or water damage. Each watch sold through Material Good is considered for warranty repair at the sole discretion of Material Good. All repairs needed after the 1-year warranty period will be the responsibility of the client.

The Material Good warranty does not cover damage caused by water exposure or physical impact. Our certified watchmakers will inspect any timepiece to determine the cause of damage. Material Good reserves the right to void the warranty if the damage is found to result from water intrusion or impact.
