The 3800 represents a pivotal evolution in Nautilus history — introduced in 1981 as the 37mm refinement of Genta's original 3700 porthole vision, it brought the Nautilus proposition to a broader collector audience without compromising the founding design's architectural conviction. In yellow gold — case, bezel, and integrated bracelet unified in precious metal — the 3800 makes its most formally considered statement, the sporting architecture entirely reframed by the warmth of gold throughout.
The gold dial introduces a tonal coherence that steel and two-tone variants cannot achieve — dial, case, and bracelet speaking the same precious metal language, the horizontal embossing rendered in a warmth that shifts between champagne and honey depending on light. An exercise in monochromatic restraint that rewards the collector willing to look beyond the canonical blue.

The Date of Purchase is defined as the date on the bill-of-sale, sales receipt, or any dated document designated by Material Good as proof-of-purchase. Our warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage resulting from improper handling, evidence of external impact, unauthorized tampering, third party intervention or water damage. Each watch sold through Material Good is considered for warranty repair at the sole discretion of Material Good. All repairs needed after the 1-year warranty period will be the responsibility of the client.
The Material Good warranty does not cover damage caused by water exposure or physical impact. Our certified watchmakers will inspect any timepiece to determine the cause of damage. Material Good reserves the right to void the warranty if the damage is found to result from water intrusion or impact. -
