  • Description

The 26574ST represents the Royal Oak perpetual calendar's most democratically accessible expression — and in the context of a complication this historically significant, democratically accessible remains a relative term that the secondary market has been rapidly reappraising. Steel perpetual calendar Royal Oaks have always occupied a position of quiet authority among collectors who understand that precious metal is optional where mechanical conviction is absolute.

The calibre 5134 — AP's ultra-thin perpetual calendar movement, delivering date, day, month, leap year, and moonphase with self-correcting logic requiring intervention only in 2100 — achieves its full complication within a profile of remarkable elegance. That this mechanical complexity exists within the Royal Oak's established 41mm steel case, without visual compromise, remains a genuine achievement of movement architecture.

The blue dial — that characteristic AP blue shifting between navy and sapphire depending on light — against the steel integrated bracelet completes a configuration of total coherence. The perpetual calendar Royal Oak, in its most enduringly correct form.
